The COVERPERF label distinguishes products which, through their rigorous development, offer users the guarantee of PPE whose performance exceeds the requirements of the standards.
The labelling criteria designed by our internal technical teams are demanding, based on use and supported by tests carried out by external, recognised and independent laboratories.
To make our approach as clear as possible, you will find our 9 COVERPERF labels on the product or its packaging
Breathability is measured by the ability of a garment to wick away perspiration and reduce body heat. COVERGUARD has selected and laboratory-tested several high-performance materials to keep the body as dry as possible.
Thresholds for obtaining this label
Shoes
Perspiration evacuation higher than 4g/h
Clothing
Perspiration evacuation higher than 10,000 mvp
Waterproofing is the ability of a fabric or membrane to prevent water penetration. Our COVERGUARD tests guarantee that the equipment is sufficiently waterproof to protect the user from a very wet environment as well as from light rain or heavy downpours (clothing).
Threshold for obtaining this label
Clothing
10,000 Schmerber (10,000 mm water column) + level 4/4 of the EN 343 waterproof test
The heel transfer of a shoe measures its capacity to absorb the force of an impact by reducing the shock waves. Our labelled equipment makes this contact phase as gradual as possible, to reduce the load rate during impact and limit the appearance of RSI.
Threshold for obtaining this label
Shoes
More than 25% of the impact force absorbed by the sole.
Abrasion resistance is a measure of the life of a product. The labelled products have been subjected to wear tests (Martindale test) by an independent laboratory and have achieved levels of resistance and durability above the standard.
Threshold for obtaining this label
Glove
> 20,000 cycles
Hypoallergenic products are those whose composition minimises the risk of allergy. Our labelled products have not caused any skin reactions following the ECC: Skin Compatibility Assessment and HRIPT: Human Repeat Insult Patch Test, carried out under the supervision of a dermatologist.
The thermal insulation of a product is measured in terms of COL value.
Threshold for obtaining this label
Garment
2 CLO (before washing)
The different materials that make up the product have been selected to offer one of the lightest pieces of equipment on the market.
Grip is the ability of a product to resist sliding, even in the wettest or most oily environments.
The COVERPERF washable label guarantees that the product is machine washable
The COVERPERF label is part of a process of differentiation of our products. Our large catalogue, which covers the protection needs of workers from head to toe, includes more than 1,200 references. Also, as we developed new products, we felt it was essential to offer users a new key to understanding our products.
COVERPERF products are easily identified by their labels (for clothing and footwear) or pictograms on the packaging (for gloves or head protection).
In order to offer products that perfectly meet the needs of users, Coverguard relies on a team of internal and external experts (product, design, quality, medical professions, etc.).
This community of experts is called coverlab®.
