Less from CITEO The mission of CITEO, the eco-organisation responsible for household packaging, is to reduce the environmental impact of packaging and paper, by offering manufacturers solutions for reduction, reuse, sorting and recycling. CITEO has designed LESS, a methodological guide based on the Reduce/Reuse/Recycle triptych, accompanied by resources and best practices accessible to manufacturers in the distribution sector. |
Coverguard's roadmap, largely inspired by CITEO's Less methodology and in accordance with the AGEC Act, encompasses 5 areas:
- Eliminate unnecessary items, particularly over-packaging
- Reduce the use of plastic
- Carry out Life Cycle Analyses of packaging to select more sustainable alternatives without transferring impact
- Ensuring that our packaging can be recycled in France
- Use recycled materials for the remaining packaging
2024
Redesign of the shoe packaging and integration of the changes into all the products in this range. Using the main principles of the LESS by CITEO methodology, our new shoe boxes have considerably reduced printing (quantity of ink used).
In the future
Redesigning the packaging of all our existing products, selecting the solution that has the least environmental impact, is best suited to our customers and our products, and seeks to go beyond the requirements of the AGEC law.
