COVERGUARD ESTABLISHES ITSELF AS A PIONEER IN TRACEABILITY AND ECO-DESIGN IN THE EPI SECTOR!   

To better understand the origin, composition and various impacts of its products, Coverguard has teamed up with two platforms that are major players in their field:    

Trace For Good, a traceability solution, and Carbonfact, a platform for Life Cycle Analysis and calculation of greenhouse gas emissions.   

Signed in November 2023, this long-term partnership will enable Coverguard to :

• Map your supply chain, including raw materials suppliers and subcontractors 
  Know the various environmental impacts of all our products through life-cycle analyses, and model simulations to avoid transferring impacts. 
  Eco-design products based on concrete, scientifically provable data, and thus avoid greenwashing  
  Communicate on the origin of products and raw materials, and their carbon impact  
   

In line with Coverguard's CSR strategy to 2030, this partnership is in keeping with Coverguard's 3 core values: going beyond regulatory obligations (such as those imposed by the AGEC1 law), proximity (with suppliers and customers) and responsibility (social and environmental).       

This innovative partnership enables Coverguard to establish itself as a pioneer in traceability and eco-design for PPE.  

By the end of 2024, Coverguard plans to integrate its major suppliers and obtain reliable lifecycle analyses of its best-selling textiles, gloves and footwear.  

This partnership provides Coverguard customers with the guarantee of reliable and accurate information on Coverguard products.

Trace for good provides a framework for relations between brands and suppliers, and simplifies the collection of data relating to the entire upstream value chain, by verifying each document (audit, label, certification, invoice, bill of lading, etc.) added by each supplier.  

Directly connected to Trace for good, is a platform that produces and calculates :

• life-cycle analyses (based on the PEF method) for all product types, as well as simulations between several scenarios to avoid transferring impacts  
  greenhouse gas emissions assessment (GHP method) based on a company's 3 scopes
