Easily recognizable with its yellow full grain cowhide leather and white fur lining that protects the entire wrist, the EUROWINTER ISLANDE glove has become the ally of mountain professionals over the years.
It can be found in the hands of ski instructors and ski resorts staff members who recommend it for its comfort, its resistance and its good insulation against the cold.
Etienne, working at Les Rousses ski resort, French Alps explains: "Like many of my colleagues, I use the ISLANDE gloves in my professional practice. These gloves insulate very well from the cold and resist for a long time to the sharpness of the ski edges when I carry my skis (unlike fabric gloves). For me it's the perfect combination of comfort, durability and good value for money.
If the glove is now popular with mountain professionals, it is because their needs were central in the product development process:
"The entire exterior of the ISLANDE glove is made of full grain leather. We chose this material because it is a leather that remains flexible despite the cold, unlike nitrile, for example, which hardens when the temperature drops. Full grain leather is the part of the dermis that contains the most collagen fibers: they make the leather flexible and resistant", says Ingrid DOGER, Gloves Product Manager at Coverguard.
The fur of this glove is also particularly thick. This characteristic allows the glove to store a lot of air which will serve as insulation and intensely protect the hand.
Finally, the long cuff of the glove is equipped with an elastic band to give the cold no chance to penetrate!
