New CLAW Safety Shoes - Proving Coverguard’s Expertise
Coverguard launches three new models of safety shoes, the CLAW range, bringing together all the brand's expertise. With CLAW, Coverguard proves its "Safety Designer" signature with an outsole tested by a podiatrist and laboratory tests ensuring excellent cushioning and field tests.
Three models, one sole
The CLAW range is made of 3 multi-purpose models. First, there is the CLAW PROOF model (S3, SRC, WR, ESD) whose WR membrane keeps the foot completely dry. The second model, CLAW RESIST (S3, SRC, ESD), has a highly abrasion-resistant upper with a structured 3D mesh. Finally, the last model, CLAW SWIFT (S1P, SRC, ESD), is the lightest and most versatile, with a breathable mesh tested in a certified laboratory.
Each model is available in high and low versions, and features an aluminum / composite protection system for added lightness.
The outsole of all three models is made of low-density PU2D, a material known for its flexibility and comfort, to protect the back and joints. Equipped with studs and channels to evacuate liquids, the CLAW sole adapts to all types of soil, both indoor and outdoor.
Marie Manin, a podiatrist who has tested the shoes in her practice with her patients, says: "In a stabilometric examination, we found that CLAW shoes do not disturb the posture of normo-axed patients."
The wide fit prevents foot compression and the padded inner lining limits friction to protect sensitive feet.
Coverguard bear-inspired sole
CLAW shoes are designed to provide workers with optimal comfort. By analogy with a bear's paw, all three models have excellent cushioning, like the pads of a bear's paw, and optimized grip on unstable ground, reminiscent of the function of the animal's claws.
Stéphanie Burgio, Product and Marketing Manager, explains: "Inspired by the Coverguard bear, the CLAW line translates the brand's DNA from a stylistic and functional standpoint. It is the brand's signature look and feel.

The CLAW range is the result of a process initiated a few years ago and was designed within Coverlab: the community of internal and external experts who contribute to the design of Coverguard products.
Coverlab is a community in motion, evolving over time as contributions are made, and striving to achieve one goal: to design products that are increasingly in line with user expectations.
